Excellent
Nothing else need be said.

Well done
Practical and on point, with out any flowery feel good points others make on Stoic pod cast. One has to remember this is challenging to understand but difficult to practice and is a life long pursuit.

Best of all of them!
The podcaster acts with honesty and best of all, humility. Fine insight into stoic thoughts.

Excellent
This is an excellent pod on Stoicism. I curate content I take in strictly. This pod adds so much understanding and knowledge in a small package it makes perfect sense to take the time to listen. Thank you.

ADHD!šŸ§”šŸ«‚
thank you thank you thank you for being open about your ADHD. i love your podcast in general but in your episode ā€˜Training Your Attentionā€™ i had to pause when you said you have ADHD. i almost cried because i relate to you. iā€™ve spent a majority of my life unmedicated and recently got back on medication. now iā€™m making the decision to go back off medication because youā€™re right, the side effects arenā€™t worth it. I just turned 24 on the 12th, Iā€™ve also recently accepted my ADHD and its challenges out loud, I have a workbook on it, podcasts and thereā€™s an app called Inflow that is GREAT for ADHD!!! So you mentioning that at this period of my life helped me remember Iā€™m not alone and I hope you remember that too. It also made this episode hit closer to home knowing you relate. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Perfect episode and perfect personal expression for it. Itā€™s October and itā€™s ADHD awareness month, youā€™re not alone!! Love it, thanks. šŸ§”šŸ§”šŸ§”šŸ§”

Enjoyed todayā€™s episode
Tanner took on a hard topic today and did it well. That is how things like marijuana or alcohol etc. mesh with Stoic principles. Personally I find that things like this or any other addiction that takes away from being present to be counter to my Stoic practice. They can at times control and rob us of the moment or let us escape dealing with something that we really should address in order to live a fuller life. Part of my practice is to pursue and try to manage the triggers in my life that can make me react in way that is not beneficial. I use Stoicism and meditation as a way to seek greater control over myself and my mind. I donā€™t always succeed but as Tanner notes, there arenā€™t too many if any sages out there.

Usefulness
I really like how starting my morning with stoicism gives me challenges throughout the day. It has increased the beauty of my own consciousness. More purpose to my life.

This is a Great find!
For those that are complaining about adsā€¦ You do know this is a fee podcast AND you can fast forward through them. Great content and more of what the world needs.

Great even for young audiences
Great podcast even for someone who is younger. These meditations really inspire and help along small changes in behavior. Thank you for making this podcast

Emphasis on the ā€œPracticalā€
As a young person in the 1980s, stoicism meant putting up with great pain and discomfort without complaining. The word had been separated from the philosophy, in much the same way that modernism was a style of design rather than a philosophy. Knowing the roots of things was too time-consuming. One had just enough information to know that the New Yorker cartoon was funny, but not enough to know why. I have been enjoying the podā€™s brevity, focus, clarity, and above all, its practicality. I am now primed to read the original texts with a modicum of insight.

I love it!
This is one of my favorite podcasts! Iā€™m fairly new to stoicism, and frankly, philosophy. This podcast is super insightful and Iā€™m excited for whatā€™s to come in the future. Iā€™ll be ordering the paperback books as soon as I can!

Great Podcast!
This is currently my favorite Stoic podcast. Tanner does an amazing job at making Stoicism more relatable to modern day life and I love hearing his interpretation.

Terrific
Love the structure of how he is going through Meditations and hopefully moving on to Epictetus, Seneca, etc.. after. Bought the book also. šŸ‘šŸ»

Hey hey!
Female stoic wisdom seeker here from West Virginia LOVING your work! I have been listening for 5 episodes. I actually just listened to the one on death where you mentioned the 1 star review. I was wondering wth they could have said bad honestly. Personally, I think you do a wonderful job. I love the show duration but also wouldnā€™t mind a few more 15-20 minute extended episodes. Your voice is very nice and I love that youā€™re not a sharp S speaker. Do you think youā€™ll consider doing your book on audio? Anyway, just showing my love, booā€™n the negative Nelly 1 star review. I canā€™t wait to hear more. I listen to you while out walking the ancient Appalachian hills w/my mini schnauzer. Stay stoic!!

Awesome show
I start my day by taking in Tannerā€™s deep insight, wisdom and podcasting and life hacks. Tanner is an original thought leader.

Great Podcast! Check it out.
No one teaches you this. This will sound awfully bad, but I was never taught how to think. Iā€™m glad I found this podcast.

4/5
Great podcast. I think the episodes should be re-listened to, but itā€™s difficult when there is so much content about the podcastā€™s rating, book promotion and gratitude for listening. Would appreciate if that can be kept to 30 seconds or less each episode so re-listening is easier.

Great podcast
Tanner does an amazing job. Every episode leaves you with a lot to think about and apply to your own life a personal experiences. Glad I found this podcast

Impressive
Really enjoying this

Greattt
Really good points and real eye opening!

Interesting philosophy related podcast
Tanner does a good job of breaking down stoicism and its principles as well as relating them to modern life which is often missing and clearly underserved

Very Well Done
Itā€™s easy to write or speak long, but often difficult to communicate briefly with precision. Tannerā€™s short episodes give me something to consider throughout the day, and his book is a great companion piece.

Practical and timely
Tanner does a great job of highlighting how these ancient texts remain extremely relevant for the current human condition. I especially enjoy the easily digestible biweekly delivery to let each chapter marinate in my thoughts for a few days at a time.

Practical indeed!
Stays on target with what is practical and good.

Clear, thoughtful, insightful and relatable.
An excellent podcast on stoicism. Highly recommend. Tanner does an excellent job presenting the various philosophies and ideas of stoicism - very clear and relatable with his own personal insights. I appreciate the brief episodes/meditations that allow plenty of time for personal reflection. Thanks Tanner! Looking forward to more episodes.

Returning to Stoicism
I am returning to stoicism after finding myself often impatient and angry with others in life. This new podcast is just what I needed to get back on a positive path. Thank you.

Kids should learn this
Why donā€™t we teach this in schools? It is more useful than memorizing historical dates. Very useful and enjoyable.

Brilliant
Listen to this on my commute to work. Perfect amount of time. Not too much or too little. Keep up the strong work.

Very Helpful for the Stoic ā€œwannabeā€
Stoicism presented in bite-sized, relatable chunks. Being new to the stoic texts and digesting them on my own (outside of an academic setting and not with a group of like-minded peers) I find these conversations very helpful with attaining a deeper understanding of the concepts in the texts. In addition, i can use them as small daily ā€œsermonsā€ to remind me of what i am trying to achieve personally with my existence. Thank you for developing this podcast.

Short burst of cerebral density.
Good stuff, episodes are short in duration times, though densely pack with material to ponder endlessly. None the less a benefit contribution.
